On June 21 ^st , Erling Rudolph Skrinde went home to be with the Lord.  He was born September 11, 1922 in Silvana, Washington to Rolf and Annie Skrinde.  He was the 4 ^th of 9 children.  When he was 18 months old the family moved to Stanwood. He graduated from Stanwood High School and worked for various farmers in the area.  Family was very important to him, he took care of his folks until their deaths, then married the love of his life Gladys Anderson on June 8, 1963.  They shared thirty-seven years together and had three children. Erling was a dairy farmer, grew peas and corn for Twin City Foods and later on grew potatoes. He was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Stanwood and was active in The Sons of Norway.  Erling was known for his kind heart and quiet ways.  He was always there to help out a friend in need. His strong faith in God guided him through his 95 years. He died peacefully knowing that God was taking him home.

He is survived by his 3 children, Randi Bachand (Bill) of Stanwood, David (Tracie) of Conway and Stephen of Sedro-Woolley;  grandchildren Tiari (Michael), Rachael (Austin), Allyson, Becca, Anna, Andrew, Jazlynn, Amara, Alexa, Donevan and great-grandaughter Aubrie; sister Anna Bowron (Bill), brother Einar Skrinde, sister-in-law Margorie Skrinde; and numerous nieces and nephews all of whom will miss him. A special thank you to Perry Watson and Erin Preston for their friendships and numerous visits.  He always looked forward to them.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M.Friday, June 29, 2018 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Stanwood.

Private Interment services will be held at the Anderson Cemetery, Stanwood
