In the early morning of April 25, 2026, the Lord called Erika Celeste Lervick, 51, home to be with Him.
Erika was born on March 29, 1975, in Mount Vernon, Washington, to Doug Pearson and Bernetta Killingsworth. She lived her whole life in the Stanwood-Camano community, which she loved dearly and where she made many long-lasting friends. In the summer of 1991, she met her high-school sweetheart and future husband, Jeff Lervick, whom she married on a snowy November day in 1996. Over the past 30 years of marriage, Erika experienced many highlights of life alongside her husband Jeff, which include being around friends and their community, running their excavation business, serving in their church and the surrounding Stanwood-Camano community, and, most importantly, raising their three children. When asked, Erika always said that out of all the roles and positions she held, being a wife to Jeff, and mom to Karina, Ella, and Ole was the most rewarding and life-giving role she could ever hold.
Erika loved her friends and family incredibly, but also loved to travel, spend time at the lake, and serve others. She was always looking forward to seeing new places and experiencing new things alongside her family. She had a gift of seeing how beautiful the world is, and wanted everyone around her to be able to experience it in the same way. Erika also loved gardening, along with raising the animals on her family's little hobby farm. Springtime was her favorite because she loved sitting and watching all the little calves be born, and always told us it signified a season of new beginnings. Many of her springs and summers were spent out at the lake, where she and the family got to enjoy some time in the water and sit back and relax in the sand. While she enjoyed all of these things, her main joy came from being around people. Erika loved people so well and had a gift for meeting them where they were at. She took time to know what everyone was going through so she could meet them there and walk through it with them. She loved praying with and for people to ensure that they knew not only how much she loved them, but how much God loved them.
Erika is survived by her husband, Jeff Lervick, and three children, Karina, Ella, and Ole. Along with, mother Bernetta Killingworth (Dick), father Doug Pearson (Mary), mother-in-law Nancy Hansen (Jim), father-in-law Stuart Lervick, siblings, Cody Robles (Jason & Ty), Thor Pearson, Tonya Lamb (Jay & Elsie), Andrew Hansen (Amanda, Theodore, & Vera), Anna Fohn (Eric, Logan, Avery, & Samuel), and many loved aunt, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her much-loved grandparents, Loren & Golda Rosvall, John & Inga Pearson.
A celebration of life service will be held on May 9, 2026. Details to follow will be posted through Stanwood Foursquare Church. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission Builders International (MBI) or the Stanwood-Camano Fair.
If you had the joy of knowing Erika, you know that you were deeply loved by her. Erika’s kindness, loyalty, care, love, and grace will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all.
