Emma was born in Yakima Washington in 1948 and enjoyed growing up and raising children in central Washington. In 2014 Emma and Jim relocated to the west side of the state after a career as a mortgage broker to be closer to family. She peacefully passed away at home during a courageous battle against cancer. Her sweet loving ways along with her quiet wit and perseverance will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends.
Emma is survived by her husband James La Lanne and two children Richard (Gayle) Carter and Michele Olsen (Matt Van Lier). She had ten grandchildren Nickolas (Rochelle) Godin, Katelynn Godin, Jessica (Collin) Nolen, Christopher (Sarah) Carter, Alex Carter, Victoria Carter, Elizabeth Cater, Warren Carter, Morgan Carter and Oliver Carter. She had four great grandchildren Riley Godin, Jaxon Godin, Rosie Carter and Walter Carter.
Throughout her life, her tremendous crafting skills and talents are highlighted in her many handmade gifts, quilts, and decorations which will be treasured by those fortunate enough to have and enjoy them. When not working or crafting, Emma stayed busy by remodeling and updating several houses with her personal and special touch.
A celebration of life for Emma will be Saturday July 24, 2021 at 1:00pm at 32309 76th Ave NW Stanwood, WA 98292.
