Elizabeth H. Broz (Bets) was born on Long Island, New York on Jan 18th, 1945. When only 5 years old her family moved to Camano Island in 1950 where her parents Bob & Fran Neale owned and operated Maple Grove Resort. While attending Twin City High school she met the love of her life, George Broz, whom she would later marry in 1966. Tragically, George was killed a year later in Vietnam. She did return to WWSC and obtain her BA in Education and became an English teacher in the Edmonds school district. Whether Betsy was in a classroom, at dinner with her family, visiting with friends or in line at the bank, she shared her zest for life and contagious laughter. Bets is survived by her twin sister Meg of Camano Island, 2 nieces Debbie (and family) in Redmond and Kristie (and family) in Kirkland; and 2 nephews Rob and Evan Neale in the Federal Way area. Plus numerous cousins. Betsy also leaves many friends especially a long time friendship with Pam Wise and her family in Lakewood, and her most recent friend & room-mate Lisa Damery in Edmonds. Betsy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A private graveside service will be held at Anderson cemetery, Stanwood. Arrangements under the direction of Gilbertson Funeral home, Stanwood
