Obituary

Diane passed away peacefully September 14, 2015 after a short illness. Born April 11, 1945 in Seattle, she lived in that area until moving to Camano Island 20 years ago. She spent many years as a caregiver, which she felt was her calling. Her number one passion was the love of animals, always the first to take care of a stray. (One time it was a pot-bellied pig wandering the neighborhood.) She loved to watch the wildlife come through the yard, especially the groups of deer and the hummingbirds. Number two was cooking; she could create her variation of any recipe she came across, and it would be terrific. Those who met her said she could always make them laugh. She is survived by her husband and soulmate of 40 years, Dwight. She also leaves her beloved Pomeranian, Jennie.

A private memorial will be held in her honor.

Remembrances can be made to the Sarvey Wildlife Center in Arlington, WA, where she had volunteered in the past.
