IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dexter
Madsen
July 17, 1955 – April 3, 2018
Dexter Edward Madsen
July 17, 1955 - April 3, 2018
The gentle giant awkward behemoth, Dexter Edward Madsen made his last wildly inappropriate and (most likely) sarcastic comment on April 3, 2018.
He was born 62 years ago to his late parents Norman and Garnet Madsen. Growing up in the flood plains of Florence with his favorite siblings (Lynda, Gary, Dianne and David), Stanwood will forever be his home.
Dex was always up for a cold beer and down for a good time. He loved any and all things music, Bonanza, Amazon prime, licorice and tequila. His loud laugh was contagious and unmistakable. He will be remembered for his obnoxious humor, extreme generosity, and loyalty to family and friends.
He married his main squeeze almost 35 years ago. And now after 13 long years without her, Dex finally reunited with his true love, Laurie Jean.
He leaves behind his four beautiful daughters: Brooke, Kerry, Darcy and Jillian. He taught them how to laugh at his jokes, select quality power tools and love one another, even when it's difficult. He also leaves behind seven spoiled grandkids: Teylor, Coben, Ryan, Olivia, Radley, Keller, and Quinn.
Knowing Dexter and Laurie are together again should ease any pain that might be felt. In lieu of any flowers, his girls ask you to call/hug/kiss your parents and siblings immediately.
Private family services are being held. Please keep in touch to celebrate Dexter's too short (but rocking) life in a future party.
