IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Devon Bree
Torgerson
July 14, 1994 – December 11, 2025
Devon Bree Torgerson was born on July 14,1994 in Mount Vernon, Washington. Beloved daughter of Lori Hayton and Lincoln Torgerson, Devon was a lifelong resident of Stanwood where she attended and graduated from local schools. She always called her community home, where she passed away on December 11, 2025.
Devon had a gentle soul, creative and adventurous spirit, and quick wit. She loved nature, especially summer days spent nurturing her flower garden or time near the water where she found peace and joy. Devon was kind, warm and welcoming, with a smile that made people feel at ease. She had a way of helping others quietly, always willing to lend her skills or her heart. Her sense of adventure led her to thrilling theme-park rides, fast cars and the many memorable road trips she so enjoyed.
Devon was a life-long learner with aspirations toward electrical engineering and computer graphics. She expressed herself through arts and crafts; drawing, photography, crocheting and woodworking were among her favorites. Curious and capable, she wasn't afraid to take things apart, fix them, and give them new life. She had a sharp mind and a natural patience that showed in everything she did.
Animals were naturally drawn to her, sensing the kindness she carried so effortlessly. She shared her life with her many beloved pets and had a special heart for wildlife, often rescuing and caring for small animals that crossed her path.
Devon leaves behind her mother, Lori Hayton, father Lincoln Torgerson, and brother, Blake Torgerson. Sisters Kimi (Chuck) Tracy, Sheila Torgerson and Laura (John) Dutton. Brothers Lincoln (Pam) Torgerson and Stephen (Gayle) Torgerson and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She also leaves behind her beloved partner, John Young, with whom she shared many years and countless memories.
Though she left us far too soon, Devon's light lives on - in blooming flowers, summer sunshine, creative projects, and in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. We miss her more than words can say and will carry her with us always.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 31, from 2:00-4:30 p.m. at Angel of the Winds Casino Resort, Arlington. Please join us in celebrating Devon's lasting memory and the life she shared with us all.
