David Ray Loomis peacefully departed earth on May 19th, 2016. He was born on 1-30-1947 in Mount Vernon, WA. He graduated from Conway Grade School, Mount Vernon High School in 1965, and attended WSU. He then served in the Army Reserves. During his years in the WA State Patrol David was Driver/Bodyguard for Gov. Dixy Lee Ray. As a Limo Driver, David had many stories about his famous passengers. Currently he worked for the Seattle Convention Center as a Security Guard. David was known for his wit and kindness, his interesting life gave truth and humor to his amazing stories. David was preceaded in death by his mother Connie Loomis, sister Carol Wolcott and brother Micheal Loomis. He is survived by his father Richard Loomis, twin sister Donna Rae Pritchett, sister Marcie North, brother Glenn Loomis, step daughters Kim Hope and Kelli Hope and grandson Oscar Drechsler. They along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends will miss the gifts of kindness, knowledge and joy that David brought to all our lives. Services will be held at Fir-Conway Lutheran Church, Friday June 3 at 2:00.
