Our beloved husband, father, grandpa, and brother passed away on March 14, 2020 at 89 years old.  He was born in Madison, WI to John and Laura McHugh, the younger brother to sisters Yvonne and Phyllis.  The family relocated to Winnipeg, Manitoba when he was a teenager, where Chet excelled in multiple sports.  He graduated from the University of Manitoba where he met the love of his life, Helen Magness.  Chet and Helen moved west to British Columbia to start their family. They were married for 65 years.  They spent the majority of their married life raising their family in Kenmore, WA, then retiring to Camano Island, WA in 1998.

Chet worked for many years in the printing business where he made lifelong friends. During his retirement, Chet loved wood carving and created many keepsakes his family will love forever. Camano Island, and the many friends who came into his life, meant a lot to Chet.

Chet leaves behind his loving wife, Helen; son Stephen McHugh (Eithne) of Mountlake Terrace; daughter Karen Hinton (Scott) of Bainbridge Island, grandchildren Kelsey, Nicholas, and Matthew; and sister Phyllis of Dallas, TX.

Our family would like to thank the many wonderful members of the Eden Home Health Care team that became a large part of our daily life since January.
