Cheryl Elise Gort, born Cheryl Elise Palmer on April 8th, 1959, in Bellflower, California, was the beloved daughter of Albert and Joann Palmer.

She devoted her life to nurturing others as a wife, mother, and special needs teacher. Her kind and gentle spirit, along with her encouragement, left a lasting impression on many lives.

Cheryl found joy in knitting and in her faith as a devout Christian. Her quiet strength and dry wit will be remembered by all who knew her.

On August 24, 2024, Cheryl passed away in Stanwood, Washington, in the company of her two sons, Stuart Gort Jr. and Phillip Gort, as well as her brother, David Palmer, all of whom loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Stuart Gort Sr.

A private memorial will be held on November 16, 2024, at her brother's home in Long Beach, CA, where family and close friends will gather to honor her memory and celebrate a life well-lived.
