Charles Gene Bakken went to join his Lord and Savior on January 5,2022. He will be missed by his family and friends very much.

Chuck was born April 24,1929 in Sharon, North Dakota. He was a Farmer with his father, Albert and his mother, Martha.

He grew up with his brothers and sisters;  Al, Bernette, Mavis and Randy. In 1951 He married Geraldine and had two Children ;Carol and Alan. They also farmed until 1965.

In 1965 Chuck became a mechanic and worked for the International shop in Sharon North Dakota. In 1967 the family moved to Seattle, Washington.

Chuck became a Chevy Mechanic and Jerry became a lunchroom Manager. They retired and moved to  Camano Island in 1992.

They enjoyed their family and going on short trips with the Camano Island Senior Club. They also enjoyed

Entertaining their grandchildren; Haley, Lindsey, Edward, Steven and Crystal.

Chuck's wife Jerry Passed away in 2007 after 55 years of marriage. It was lonely for Chuck so he started going to the senior center for lunches.

He met Mary in 2012 and then were together until Mary passed away in 2018.

Chuck decided to get a home with his daughter, Carol, granddaughter Chrystal and great granddaughter Teagar in North Everett, Washington.He loved being with his family.

Chuck fell and broke his hip in October 2021. His life was not the same after he got home from being in the hospital. He was glad to be home but Frustrated that he could not walk anymore.

He still liked to watch TV and visit with all of his family.

After Christmas he went down hill and died in his sleep on January 5, 2022. Any friends or relatives who knew him, loved him and will miss him.

A memorial service will be held at Gilbertson Funeral Home in Stanwood, WA on Saturday January 22, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. The Address is 27001-88 ^th Ave NW  Stanwood, WA 98292.
