Cathy Lovern Seay, age 65, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Everett Providence Hospital from cancer.
She was born November 21, 1949, in Stanwood, WA to Olaf and Irene Snartemo and was a 1968 graduate of Stanwood High School.
Cathy spent her entire 32 year professional career working for Snohomish County. In November 1969 she became Clerk of the Board to the County Commissioners and then transitioned to the position of Clerk of the County Council. In 1982 Cathy transferred to Planning and Development Services and assumed the position of supervisor in the Community Development Division. In November 1995 she transferred to a Financial Analyst position with the Public Works Department until she retired in August 2001.
Cathy truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; camping, driving off-road vehicles, crafting, biking, gardening and spending time with her beloved animals.
Cathy is survived by her sister Judy Lervick of Stanwood, WA; niece Cindy Lervick-Moger and husband Robert Moger of Mill Creek, WA; niece Vicky Lervick-Keitges, husband Kevin Keitges and their children Keegan and Kirsty Keitges of Mill Creek, WA; and extended family members Leah Seay Northrup, husband Joshua and their children Lucy and London of Stanwood, WA.
Cathy was preceded in death by her infant son James Lawson Seay Jr. and her parents Olaf and Irene Snartemo.
Family, friends and others whose lives Cathy touched are invited to a memorial service at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 27201 99th Avenue Northwest, Stanwood, WA at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 13, 2015.
