Obituary

Bruce Alben Hall passed away on January 6, 2024 due to complications from an unforgiving disease. Bruce was born March 4, 1953 in Mt. Vernon to Robert and Vadah Hall. He was raised with his sister, Terry. He lived his entire life in the Stanwood/Camano Island area.

Bruce attended Stanwood Schools. He was a letterman in basketball, track, and cross country. He was a member of the Boys Club and Pep Club. Bruce graduated from Stanwood High School in 1971. He received his Associate Degree in Technical Arts and Industrial Mechanics from Skagit Valley College in 1973.

Bruce married Suzanne Reid in 1978 and they made their home in Stanwood until their divorce. They remained close friends.

Bruce was employed at Terra Manufacturing. He then went to work for Camano Mold Inc. and retired from there in 2008. When Sarco Precision first opened Bruce came out of retirement and enjoyed over 10 more years of employment. He was employee #004 and had his second retirement in 2019.

Bruce had a passion for mechanics and enjoyed tinkering and fixing anything that needed it. He loved to rebuild car engines. At the age of 14 he was a Pit Crew member for John Carol, a Skagit Sprint Car driver. He loved to go beach combing, he could spot a hidden agate on any beach. He was an avid razor clam digger and even custom-made beautiful wood handled Clam Guns. He loved animals and had a special connection with them.

He enjoyed many adventures with the love of his life, Lori Husby. They loved traveling in their RV, exploring Arizona while spending time in their home there, and beach walks around their home on Camano Island. They loved to include many family members and friends for their "memory making" moments.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Vadah Hall, his infant brother, Brian, and the Aunt and Uncle who were closest to his heart, Bill and Helen Hall.

Bruce leaves his fiancée and "sweetie", Lori Husby, his sister Terry (Jim) Knutsen, and nieces and nephews Travis, Misty, Bryce, Chris, Mandy, Emily, Spencer, Nichole, and Darren. He also leaves his honorary children and grandchildren, Sarah and Jeremy Darrow, their children Logan and Baker, and Joshua and Ian Husby. Bruce had many "Best Friends"…. far too many to name. You know who you are and he valued his friendship with you.

Bruce will be remembered as a kind, gentle, soft-spoken man. He had a twinkle in his eyes that will shine in our hearts forever. His sweet smile was infectious. His sense of humor was witty and always received giggles and laughter. He has left a legacy of kindness to everyone.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Camano Animal Shelter (CASA), or the charity of your choice.
