Bonnie Fae Loveland, of Camano Island, Washington, passed away on April 5th, 2017 at the age of 82. She suffered a stroke the previous month, and sadly did not recover. Bonnie was a dedicated wife and mother over 63 years of marriage. She enjoyed swimming, church and caring for her family in a warm and generous way. Bonnie's ultimate wish was to be with her husband, Leland, and family for time and all eternity. Leland passed away October 18th, 2016. Bonnie and Leland are now together with their Heavenly Father.
Bonnie was born December 19th, 1934, in Boise, Idaho, to Charlie and Mary (Frost) Vocu. It was in Boise at the high school from which she graduated that she met her husband, Leland C Loveland. Leland and Bonnie married October 27th, 1953. Bonnie was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in July of the following summer. Her faith was strong and she found friendship in her fellow church members. Bonnie and Leland moved throughout Idaho, Washington, California and Oregon, over the course of their marriage.
Bonnie and Leland raised a family of 3 sons, Ken (wife Debbie), Steve (Wife Annette), and Bob (wife Karen), and daughter, Mary. The family settled in Beaverton, Oregon, in 1972. Her children all eventually married and had numerous grandchildren; Zina, Emily, Melinda, Ryan, Christy, Brice, Keith, Jacob, Julie, Anna, Megan, Eva, Gideon, Sadie, Felicity, William, Caitlin and Sidney. She was a proud great-grandmother to 12.
Bonnie is survived in death by her brother Gene, and proceeded by her husband and sisters, Bernice and Betty.
