IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Billy Gale
Lewis
June 9, 1935 – June 17, 2024
We were on our way for French Onion Soup when our journey changed direction.
Billy loved books, nature and the life he made with his wife "Charlie, Charles". He was known to say : " I love individuals, but not people ." And those he loved, definitely knew it.
He was born in French Camp, CA. For years he thought he was born in a tent. He had a great imagination. There was an artist deep inside this man. He would look out our windows and say : " What a great life we have created." Some days it would be : " I love our life."
His passion was science. He loved teaching and was on staff at Shoreline Community College for many years. Upon retirement he moved to Camano Island in the early 1990's, where he built a home that brought the outdoors inside.
Billy leaves behind his wife, Charlene Teel, and his sons and their families:
Mark William Lewis, Melissa Dubois, Taylor Kenneth Lewis, Samuel Jordan Lewis, Anya Dubois, Lena Dubois.
Richard Slovin Lewis, Marieke Slovin Lewis, Emma Molly Lewis, and Georgia Frances Lewis.
He will be missed by Charlene's family:
Mara & John Lim, Mason & Elizabeth Lim and Ave Lim.
Her daughter Brandy Teel and Brandy's daughters, Circe Ota and Melia Ota.
Her son, Mathew Solomon, his wife Shae and their children Sadie Solomon and Jack Thayer.
He also leaves behind the dog we didn't need: EeBe, short for Eagle Bait.
We will have a gathering in August to celebrate Bill's life.
Remembrances may be made to the local pet shelter: CASA Camano Animal Shelter Association
