IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bert &
Lisa Gallant
March 14, 1957 – November 8, 2024
In loving memory of Lisa and Bert Gallant
Lisa Angela Gallant (8/22/58-12/3023) and Bert Lewis Gallant (3/14/57-11/08/24) shared nearly 40 years together.
They met on a blind date arranged by Bert's mother, who had become friends with Lisa at work. It was "love at first sight" and they were engaged by their 3rd date on Orcas Island, Wa. Just kids themselves, they raised three children in Seattle, Wa. As a young family they enjoyed camping and boating – frequently going to Camano Island, where Bert and Lisa would eventually make their home in 2007.
Lisa worked as a dedicated paralegal in Seattle for many years, known for her strong sense of justice and incredible knack for details and organization. She was the kind of person who could keep anyone on their toes, Bert included, and she found great purpose in her work. Bert was a master in drywall – a true craftsman who took pride in his work. They made a great team.
Lisa, an avid baker and hostess known for her gourmet spreads, and Bert, an avid fisherman and gardener, enjoyed simple pleasures together – finding joy in their sunny backyard, listening to Van Morrison and Brandi Carlile, sipping chilled wine around the bonfire with their children and grandchildren.
Lisa died after a battle with cancer and Bert followed shortly after due to complications of a stroke and a broken heart. Their family finds comfort in knowing they are together again, perhaps toasting each other in the great beyond.
Lisa and Bert are survived by their three children, Lindsay, Paul and Joseph, their bonus children, Joseph Wilkison and Jamie Gallant, and their 5 grandchildren: Lily, Jolie, Cameron, Finnick, and Lucas. Their family will carry on the traditions, memories, family recipes and gatherings they leave behind.
In lieu of flowers, their family invites friends and loved ones to honor Lisa and Bert's memory by making a donation in their name to the Innocence Project, an organization that Lisa was passionate about and often thought about volunteering for when she retired, though sadly, she never got the chance.
Their final resting place is at Fern Hill Cemetery in Anacortes, WA, where they are laid to rest side by side.
