Bernhard (Bernie) A. Berg passed away peacefully in his home on Camano Island, Washington on May 1, 2015.
Bernie was born November 14, 1936 in Seattle, to the parents of Axel and Olga Berg, 3 sisters Delores Gabrielsen, Aileen Miller, Alyce Isaacson and 1 Brother Gerald (Jerry) Berg.
He grew up in the Roosevelt area where he pursued and eventually married his bride of almost 60 years. He was a loving husband to Deloris (Coates) and father of Mark, Bret (Cathi), Greg (Jane), Cherie (Kerry) and Lance (Annette). Grandfather to 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was a contractor by trade, carrying on the family tradition handed down by his father. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and a devoted Christian. Bernie will be missed for his wisdom, kindness, generosity, wit, humor, devotion to his Norwegian heritage and strong family values. Most of all he will be missed by everyone whose life he touched. Christmas will never be the same without Bernie. We all miss him very much already.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church in North Lakewood, Arlington. Charitable contributions can be made to Faith Lutheran Church P.O. Box 70, Lakewood, WA 98259 in lieu of flowers.
