IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara
Frasier
September 6, 1932 – November 2, 2022
Barbara Ann Frasier passed away peacefully surrounded by family after an extended illness on November 2, 2022, in Everett, WA. Barbara was born in Oakland, CA, on September 6, 1932, to Paul B. and Marian E. McGuire. She attended St. Mary Magdalen School of the Madeleine in Berkeley, graduated from Holy Names High School in Oakland, and attended Seattle University.
Barbara was known as "Barb" to family and friends, and she leaves an immense hole in the hearts of her family and friends who loved her dearly. A caring mother, a wonderful grandmother, and a good friend to all. Barb had a bright and energetic personality that touched those around her. Known for her ability to sense when people needed help, she was a beloved part of her family and community. In addition to her generosity and kindness, she was a source of strength and guidance for many.
Known as a stylish and adventurous woman, Barb was beloved at gatherings where she shared stories and her great sense of humor. Family members and friends appreciated Barb's intelligent conversations and musings. Barb was an avid bridge player, voracious reader, and thinker. She looked forward to working on her New York Times crossword puzzles daily.
She devoted over 40 years to St. Mary Magdalen School and Parish as an office administrator and loved seeing all the children pass through the doors. Serving 30 years as a Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary Associate guided her life and passion for helping others. She beautifully lived her core values through ministries of presence, hospitality, justice, and love. Memorably, Barb believed the world could always use one more kind-hearted person.
Barb is survived by her six children: Paul Frasier (Becky), Kathleen Sharp (Larry), Mary Frasier, Christine Frasier, Caroline Wiegardt (Dan), and Joan Hood (Greg); her grandchildren: Kailee Hood, Braeden Hood, Jennifer Tennison (Kevin), Matthew Frasier, Annie Frasier; and her great-grandchildren: Ella Frasier and Taylor Tennison. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Ray Frasier, Jr., and grandson son Jason Sharp.
The family wishes to thank the Washington Oakes staff and especially thank her hospice team for their loving and compassionate care during the past several months.
Please join us for Mass celebrating Barb's life at 1:00pm on Friday, November, 11, 2022 at St. John Mission, 829 3rd St, Mukilteo, WA 98275. The family has asked, in place of flowers, please consider donating to Housing Hope of Snohomish County, 5830 Evergreen Way, Everett, WA 98203
