Asher Wayne Willett

Asher Wayne Willett, 87, of Everett, Washington passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2026.

He was born January 1, 1939 in Oklee, Minnesota to Wayne and Lucille Willett. In 1947 at the age of 8 his family moved to Montana where he grew up before coming to Washington State.

He was a lifetime saw mill worker, who was employed at several mills throughout Washington. He enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors with family and friends. Known for his love of fishing, hiking, camping, and hunting. He could out fish you even if he forgot his pole and only had his reel, (true story).

He is survived by his siblings; Roger “Skip” Willett of Montana, Karen Gamble of Alaska, Marlene (Bill) Rispens, and Virgie (Alex) Cordas both of Washington. Children; Shelly (Tony) Zecchino, Betty (Jule) Bogart, Theresa (Mike) Santos, Tammy Foley, Michael Willett, and Christopher Willett. 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Lucille Willett, wife Donna Claxton Willett, sisters; Shirley Norland, Darla McCullough, brother David Willett, and brother in laws Eric Gamble and Bob McCullough.

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 2:00pm at the Santos residence. 5929 Silvana Terrace Rd. Stanwood, WA 98292.
