IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ardelle Edith
Tuschoff
July 10, 1933 – October 11, 2023
Ardelle Edith Tuschoff (Grandma Dell, Mom)
passed on peacefully on October 11th 2023 in Stanwood, Washington with her daughter Joyce at her side. She was 90 years old.
She was born in Ballard, Washington on July 10, 1933 and lived there with her Mother and Father Gus and Edith Heggem and her brothers Jack, Richard, and Willard.
Her father was a fisherman in the Bering Sea and a Norwegian immigrant. She was very good at imitating her father's Norwegian accent and was asked to do it often!
She met the love of her life Jack Tuschoff and they were married at Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ballard, Washington. They raised their daughter Joyce and Son Mark in Juanita, Washington.
They built their first home in Redmond together and owned Crossroads Appliance in Bellevue until they retired at the age of 56.
They moved to Camano Island when they retired, and they built 2 more homes together. They enjoyed traveling to Yuma, Arizona in the Winter with all of their friends for some golf, relaxation and Mariner's spring training! Then back home to spend time with family and friends. Always active in the community together, crabbing, camping, fishing, and playing at Camaloch golf course with a little cocktail of course!
She loved to host parties and dinners. She always made everything beautiful! You always knew it was Christmas time when you would walk in the front door and smell the delicious food, hear some Frank Sinatra or football and joyful laughter!
Quilting was her passion, and she cooked the best salmon and halibut! Ardelle enjoyed taking care of her gorgeous Hydrangeas, Roses, and Clematis' and any other beautiful flower or tree she could get her hands on! She loved feeding her hummingbirds too! She was always in the kitchen whenever you walked in the door getting ready for your arrival with a delicious bite to eat and a big hug.
Her husband Jack passed on in 2006 after a tough battle with cancer. Ardelle was a survivor and a firecracker! She continued her quilting, golfing, and taking care of her sweet little dog Molly. Spending time with family and friends and staying involved in her community.
She lived in her house in Camaloch and then moved to Brookdale Senior Center in Stanwood when dementia started to take her from us.
She was and always will be a shining light with a beautiful smile.
and will be missed greatly by all who loved her.
She is survived by her daughter Joyce, son Mark, 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Her funeral was held at St. Cecilia Catholic Church on October 20th 2023 with a small service with close family and friends.
She was laid to rest next to her husband Jack at Camano Lutheran Cemetery.
