Annette (Arnold) Bronson passed away November 30, 2022. Born in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle June 12 ^th , 1929 she spent most of her childhood in the Alderwood Manor area (now Mountlake Terrace). Her mother, Marie Heider-Arnold passed away when Annette was 15, and she assisted her father, Joe Arnold, in raising her younger siblings. She married Fred Bronson in 1947 and they remained married for 51 years until his passing in 1998. Together they had 7 children (Ethel, Fred Jr, Spencer, Howard, Charles (Jack), Ann and Nancy). Due to Fred's intense work schedule, Annette was left to her own devices much of the time with all of the children, housework, handyman work, gardening, you name it! Several of her best traits come to mind: Her unwavering faith, her dignity and sense of duty in the face of many challenges throughout her life and most of all her unconditional love and loyalty for her family and close friends. Her patience was unbelievable! After Fred's passing, she and Ethel embarked on many amazing adventures including a couple trips to China, Egypt, pilgrimages to Europe, trips to Costa Rica, Mexico, the Caribbean, Alaska and so much more! She was a loving mother and grandma, and she instilled in her children the meaning of hard work - All this and she was very funny! She tirelessly volunteered for St Vincent De Paul at her church well into her late 80s. Annette was an excellent bowler in her day and played a mean game of Pinochle in several groups up until a few months ago. While the family is sad and misses her terribly we're happy for her to be with God, our dad Fred, sister Ethel and all of her loved ones on the other side and are forever thankful she was our mother! Funeral Mass will be held at St Cecilia Catholic Church (26900 78th Ave NW, Stanwood, 98292) on Friday, January 27 ^th , 2023 at 11am. There will also a be a Rosary held at Gilbertson's Funeral Home on January 26 ^th at 7pm (27001 88 ^th Ave NW Stanwood, 98292). Donations to Stanwood Food Bank, St Vincent De Paul or Catholic Community Services.
