Anne Carleton Blem, 84, residing in Stanwood Washington, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2024.

Anne was born in 1939 in Everett WA to Eleanor and Harold Ricker. She graduated from Everett High in 1959 and was married to her loving husband Bob Blem in 1961. They raised their three children in Everett, WA.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold Ricker and Eleanor Hatley, her husband Bob Blem and sister Eleanor Vincent. She is survived by her sister Kay Olsen, son Curtis Blem (Melissa), daughter Katie Bell (Jeff), son Robert C. Blem, Grand children Zac (Rachel), Mackenzie Gottlieb (Julian), and Kourtney Bell. She was also blessed with two great grandchildren, Skylar and Raelynn Bell.

Anne will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her wonderful friendships, and her faith. She was active in her church and involved in many church activities.

She was empathic and devoted much of her free time to volunteering at senior centers and hospitals.

One of the highlights of Anne's life was when she became a grandmother. She loved this role and Bob and Anne would take every opportunity to go on adventures with their grandchildren. They taught them how to swim, cook, bake, sew, and especially play cards (Skip Bo)! She cherished every minute of their time together.

She loved to make and give special gifts from the heart. Knitting, crocheting, quilting, and sewing were some of her specialties. At the hint of an upcoming special occasion, she would immediately plan a new quilt or afghan to be given away.

She was a wonderful cook and especially loved baking, known for her amazing pies and sharing them with friends and family. For those who knew her, she will be greatly missed.
