Anna Marie Murphy 1918-2018

Anna Marie Murphy, 99, passed away peacefully at Josephine Sunset Home surround by family and friends on January 10, 2018.

Anna was born in Issaquah WA. She graduated from Issaquah High School and went to work as a bookkeeper.  She met John E Murphy and was married on August 18, 1951.

Anna volunteered most of her life. She volunteered at Josephine Sunset Home by visiting residents, feeding them, and pushing them around.  She also volunteered at the Thrift Store at the Lincoln Apartments.  She also purchased coats and blankets to take them to the Women's shelters.

She is preceded in death by her husband John in 1993. She is survived by her son, Paul and Denise Murphy of Oregon, daughter Judy Heim, and son John C Murphy and Felicia Freemen (daughter-in-law) and her youngest sister, Eleanor Minne (Albert).  She also had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood WA, Wednesday, January 17 ^th and Thursday, January 18 ^th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the chapel.  Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18 ^th at the chapel at Gilbertson Funeral Home.  Mass will be at St Cecilia Catholic Church, Stanwood WA on Friday, January 19 starting at 10:30.  Luncheon will be served following mass with interment at Holyrood Cemetery in Shoreline at 2:30 p.m.
